Archiv der Avantgarden — Egidio Marzona

From May 5, 2024, the Archive of the Avant-gardes – Egidio Marzona (ADA) will find its home in the specially converted Blockhaus. The ADA is unique worldwide, housing a collection of artworks, objects, and documents from various avant-garde movements of the 20th century. This collection was assembled by collector Egidio Marzona since the late 1960s. In 2016, Marzona gifted approximately 1.5 million objects to the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, which will now find their place in an impressive, freely floating cube. This creates a special space for research, exhibitions, discussions, and encounters – a place for visions, reflections, and surprises.
